87. Digital Innovation to Boost Economic Development in Belize

The objective of this consultancy is to support the IDB in the preparation of the Proposal for Operations Development (POD) and Operations Manual, and to design intervention to support digital transformation of MSMEs, understanding digital transformation as the use of technology to radically improve the performance or reach of a company in areas related to its internal processes, client relations, and/or new business models.
The consultancy's work is ordered in four steps: (i) Background review and market analysis: desk review of documentation provided by the IDB, a research study of similar programs among Latin American and the Caribbean and their results, and the elaboration of interviews; (ii) Design of a proposal for a digital transformation intervention for MSMEs (technical assistance provision, using a digital maturity test as a source for the design); (iii) Proposal for Operation Development and Operating Manual elaboration; and (iv) Meetings and reporting activities
An operational manual was designed for the development of the public policy related to it.
