Closing of visits to beneficiary institutions of the PROCIENCIA Program

Last Friday, February 18, the visits to institutions were carried out within the framework of the consultancy for the Final Evaluation of the PROCIENCIA Program culminated.

Consultants César Yammal and Sara Goldberg, with the support of the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) team, visited beneficiary institutions with the aim of learning more about the scientific development promoted by CONACYT in the country.

During the visits, the projects, facilities, and equipment acquired with state funding were recognized and dialogue was held with academic authorities, responsible researchers, and postgraduate students about the goals, products, and results achieved during the implementation of the PROCIENCIA Program.

Institutions visited included:

-the Foundation for the Earth,

-the National University of Pilar,

-the National University of the East,

-The National University of Caaguazú,

-The National University of Canindeyú

-The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and the Polytechnic Faculty of the National University of Asunción,

-Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic University,

-the Autonomous University of Asuncion,

-The National University of Itapúa

-the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare,

-the Paraguayan Institute of Agrarian Technology (IPTA) (headquarters in Asunción and Capitan Miranda),

-The Institute of Social Sciences of Paraguay (ICSO),

-The Multidisciplinary Center for Technological Research (CEMIT)

-The Center for the Development of Scientific Research (CEDIC)

-The Institute for Research in Health Sciences (IICS) of the National University of Asunción, and the

-Center for Interdisciplinary Rural Studies (CERI).

In addition, Dr. César Yammal also held meetings with CONACYT authorities within the framework of the consultancy for 'Technical assistance in the design of Component I instruments' of PROCIENCIA.
