69. International Mentoring Unit for the Development of New Technology-based Companies

Objective
To coordinate, plan, guide and evaluate the different activities that improve the skills of entrepreneurs, taking advantage of and increasing the capacities of the 5 best incubators in the country, which can support technology-based projects.

Methodology and activities performed
A self-diagnosis survey was carried out: analyzing the capacities, abilities, weaknesses and strengths of the incubators; the incubator-entrepreneur matching procedure was designed; incubators were coached, and entrepreneurs were mentored; Support was provided in the logistics of the visit to the Global Innovation Centers and also in the development and application of instruments for the selection criteria of technology-based ventures.

Results
Strengthening the capacities of 17 Costa Rican incubators through diagnoses and training for incubators. Strengthening the capacities of 50 entrepreneurs. Formation of a network of mentors: 16 international mentors from different organizations and countries were selected. A softlanding program was carried out for 14 high-potential entrepreneurs in five countries.
