Trainings in Ethiopia in the BIC Africa framework

On March 14th and 15th, the president of Innovos Group, César Yammal, had the opportunity to travel to the city of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, to participate as a trainer in the Somali Boot Camp. This event was organised BIC Africa in partnership with UNIDO Somalia.

BIC Africa is a regional network that supports African business incubators to excel and have a greater impact. It is funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Business and Innovation Centre Network.

In particular, the Somali Boot Camp aims to teach business incubators models and strategies on business start-up and operation, and how to design quality curricula to support entrepreneurs in their programmes.

The modules the consultant took part in were related to Agri-Business.

Dr. Yammal provided training on this topic, based on the need to provide an in-depth understanding of Agri-Business and incubators in the value chain - a topic that is underdeveloped in Africa.

The consultant also participated in an exercise in which incubators had the opportunity to showcase their services and receive feedback about them.
